About the Role:
This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of infrastructure and developer operations within a modern, service-based architecture. You’ll lead efforts to scale, secure, and optimize cloud infrastructure while enhancing the development experience through improved CI/CD workflows and observability. As the first dedicated DevOps hire, you’ll work closely with engineering leadership, participate in architectural decisions, and ensure the reliability and performance of systems used by real customers every day.
What You’ll Do:

Architect and manage secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure on AWS

Drive improvements in monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like NewRelic, AWS CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry

Streamline CI/CD pipelines to accelerate developer velocity and reduce friction

Implement infrastructure-as-code using AWS CloudFormation (and SAM)

Contribute to incident response processes and root cause analysis

Collaborate across engineering teams to support developer needs and ensure platform stability

Join the architecture council and influence high-level system design
What We’re Looking For:

5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Engineering

Strong track record as an individual contributor, especially in lean or small team environments

Experience maintaining infrastructure and developer tooling in small, agile product teams

Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure or video processing pipelines is a plus

Deep hands-on expertise with AWS, including designing secure and resilient systems

Proficiency with AWS CloudFormation and SAM

Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., NewRelic, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry)

Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation

Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline automation and developer workflow optimization

Clear and effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Highly collaborative and ownership-driven mindset

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security) are a plus
